Erasmus Policy Statement

The main objective of the implementation of the program Erasmus + in our centre is to offer to our students, teachers and non-teaching staff a modern training that answers to the needs of a more global and competitive work market.

Mobility due to studies or internship fosters a great range of personal and professional abilities and competences really valuable in the work market and in the building of international cooperation. This mobility within a frame settled among institutions is a source of good practices and a resource for updating the own institution.

Our Academy teaches Health related certifications and those concerned with cultural and community services, all of them are professions highly demanded in Europe. This is the reason for which our area of mobility is the European Union.

The objective group of participants is:

  • Students of Superior Degree Formative Course.
  • Students of Medium Degree Formative Course.
  • Non- teaching staff.

Through the mobility that is provided for being an Erasmus Centre, the pupils will access to a different educational offer, will be able to improve their linguistic training and will have the possibility of carrying out a cultural immersion that will enrich them.

Atlántida will give total recognition to the period of study in the foreign country by means of the corresponding academic credit hours system according to each situation.

Thanks to the student’s Mobility for internships, the students will be able to implement a period of internship in a company or organization from other European country with the aim of acquiring professional experience and knowing the work market, the social and economic environment in Europe. These internships will be adjusted to the academic credit hours system as well.

The mobility of the teaching personnel has as a main goal the fact that our teachers will offer the students the chance to access the knowledge and work experience of teachers from other countries.

Exchange students

Atlántida CIDEP receives exchange students from partner institutions in the context of the Erasmus+ programme. Studying in Granada means living in a city which provides endless cultural and leisure activities. The Nasrid capital is home to historic neighborhoods such as the Albayzín or Realejo, the Alhambra forest and its palaces, the Sacromonte, and so on. The beach is no more than 40 minutes away and the Sierra Nevada snow awaits at only 30 minutes from the centre of the city. In short, spending any amount of time in Granada is sure to be an unforgettable experience.

Granada is a “City of Science and Innovation”, a distinction awarded by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness to those cities that invest in infrastructures based on knowledge and innovation, and as such, it forms part of the “Network of Cities of Science and Innovation” (ARINN), a non-profit organization which promotes actions by local administrations in the field of science and innovation. With it come a number of different grants, subsidies and European R&D projects. The capital of Granada is particularly oriented towards the biomedical sector, and it has become a scientific benchmark city in southern Europe. It involves small and medium-sized businesses in the development of science, technology and innovation projects. The distinction is a fundamental tool for generating wealth, jobs and attracting investment for the city’s health sector. In addition, the capital has the Health Technology Park, a large complex of facilities for medical research that promotes the Granada SALUD brand nationally and internationally.

Granada hosts more than 60,000 students each year, and this cosmopolitan environment favors the exchange of languages that takes place in different centers, associations and bars across the city. The capital also has one of the most extensive and varied cultural agendas in the country. Musically, Granada has a long and illustrious history of live and independent rock concerts and flamenco shows. The latter are ever present not only in the Sacromonte caves, but also in the festivals that are held throughout the year. Other artistic expressions include cinema, theater and dance.

On top of all of this, Granada is known for its tapas. Each drink comes with a generous dish, and for the price of two beers or soft drinks, you can have lunch or dinner in the city’s many different bars. Vegan, gourmet, fusion, and traditional tapas are readily available. The annual tapas or beer festivals are another excellent way of taking advantage of the local gastronomy famed for its quality around the world. Without a doubt, Granada is the perfect city for any student who wants to experience the university atmosphere in all its splendor!
